Highly skilled school leadership is a key predictor of student success and a critical driver of effective school and district improvement efforts. Leadership coaching is a powerful form of professional learning because it is grounded in adult learning principles and tailored to the unique needs and context of each leader. Through coaching, leaders develop the reflective practices, resourcefulness, and agency needed to advance their professional growth and lead transformational change.
21CSLA Regional Academy (RA) coaches provide job-embedded support built on relational trust and focused on addressing leaders’ problems of practice through continuous improvement processes. Coaches also support systems transformation by helping leaders identify root causes, examine patterns and relationships, and make meaningful connections across their contexts. This work strengthens leaders’ capacity to create the conditions in which all students can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
